The Problem

The car park deck had broken away due to a number of factors including slab flex, removal of trolley bays and general wear and tear. Previous contractors has prepared the area inadequately and used standard concrete as a patch and fill. This “cheaper quote” lasted less than 24 months and the contractor wouldn’t return to fix it. The breaking concrete was becoming a hazard to the public, unsightly and allowing water into the main structure.

The Solution

Proper removal of faulty concrete, proper preparation, proper cleaning and priming and proper product fit for purpose and the prevailing conditions. In the end the solution was relatively simple. Time spent doing the pep properly and following the manufacturers recommendations for correct application of repair materials. Not rocket science but often not followed by contractors.

The Result

Neat, tidy repair that retains function as originally designed.
